Faith47 is an internationally renowned street artist. She lives and works in Cape Town, South Africa.

Her career in urban art has spanned more than fifteen years, and her work may be seen in major cities the world over.

She uses a large range of media, from aerosol and oil paints to pencil, indian ink, photography, and collage. Faith47’s work is substrate appropriate, adapting to the environment, whether outdoors on found and recycled objects or in the studio, with creations on canvas or wood.

Through her creations, Faith47 challenges the globalized realpolitik, maintaining her own personal, individual expression. In this way, her introspective search reflects in her work and deals with the complexities of the human condition, its deviances, and its existential quest.

    The wounded bird,
    wonders why
men have erected these cement snares,
so high they close off the sky,
which yet is filled with angels.
